Warcraft Mail Delivery

After taking only a few minutes to attain level 2 in Warcraft, I looked forward to moving further up in the ranks. I glanced around and found my next quest – Etched Parchment – and quickly scanned the requirements. I was to read a parchment and deliver it to the hunter trainer. Hmm, another simple quest. I feel like a mailman since 2 of my first 3 quests have been deliveries, but maybe I'll have to go somewhere interesting to find this trainer…Nope, he's right there across the way from where I picked up the quest. Oh well, I deliver the note to Karranisha who considers me and hands me my next quest. Perhaps this is Blizzard's idea of getting a player used to the controls – I mean I have to run back and forth a few times for the first few quests, and shooting pigs in a pen wasn't too hard at all. We'll see how long these simple tasks continue, but I would like to encounter a few challenges as I level up.

Then the real news started reporting it

Even the Simpsons discredit CNN as not being real news. But seriously don't let Marge and Homer divorce.

I certainly hope that the rumors are just that. I like the fact that the Simpsons show a family that has gone through lots of ups and downs but unlike many real families, have been able to stick together and make things work for almost 3 decades.

Wow… Golf?

What a round of golf! I usually don't watch much golf on TV as it is usually kinda boring, but I am glad I turned in on this Sunday. While the course looked pretty crappy – kinda like they were playing at a bumpy pitch and putt in Southern California that couldn't water the grass – the ups-and-downs of the players were pretty interesting. I really was pulling for the guy who had vertigo a couple days ago – Jason Day, but he fell off after the first few holes and ended up tied for 9th. Others made runs for first place only to fall off, and Oosthuizen put in a great showing with some kind of record to finish in a tie for 2nd place. But the day belonged to Jordan Spieth who won by a stroke, and became the youngest to win the first 2 masters of the year. I'm pretty impressed, but I'd like to see what he can do on a real golf course. How can they have a golf championship at a place where the fairway looks the same as the green, and once you land on the green, you're more likely to take a bouncy rollercoaster ride for 20 yards than to roll to a stop within 2 feet of where you were aiming. In any case, I'd have to say it was pretty exciting to watch.

Comic-Con t-shirt presale

I think I'm gonna pick up a Flash shirt.

The first season of CW's Flash was pretty cool in my view and I am glad to see the t-shirts promoting him. Still I find it odd pre-ordering as I have grown accustomed to waiting in a very long line that winds through the middle of the exhibit hall each year. Maybe they are learning something?
